That's how he described himself
Your are who you surround yourself with.
Life is all about your perspective. I think God was giving me a little lesson. So, I hop in a cab at 3:45am to head to the airport and while I'm talking to the cabbie about Vegas I asked him why he moved to Vegas, because he was from Utah.
"I'm A Degenerate Gambler" -the cabbie
Nice, perhaps it's not the best choice to move to Vegas. He had many more tales of sorrow that I'll spare you. This is the complete opposite of what Les Brown was talking about.
This is a good time of the year to step back and take a look at your relationships. Are you hanging around quality, uplifting, life giving people. You know those people.
Or are you hanging around degenerate cab drivers. Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with cab drivers, I need them. It's the degenerate gambler part I want you to avoid.
A little brain exercise for you
If I ask you, "what are you looking at?"
Duh, "a box."
But, really, it depends on where you are standing. Some places you might see a red box, some might be a blue box.
2014 is just getting going, and to have a better year, something has to change. Take some time this weekend and look at your relationships with a new perspective and make some changes if needed.
